  Nice place but beaware no water at sites. So fill your tanks.

  Staying here was peaceful and I enjoyed learning the history of the area. The duty ranger wasn't very helpful when I asked if could extend few hour because of work. But other than that staying here was a pretty good bargain. Oh and if you stay in the fall watch out for the falling acorns. They dented up the tonneau cover on my pickup.

  If you are considering camping trip within 1 hr drive from Washington DC area, this is a fantastic location. Electric and nonelectric campsites available. Well maintained restrooms too

The Hollofield campground has 73 campsites, some with electric hookups. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring. All equipment must be positioned on the designated camping pad and driveway. The Hilton Area has 14 tent camping only sites with no electricity. From I-695/I-70 West take I-70 to Marriottsville Rd. ( Exit 83).
