The Salvation Army Family Store and Donation Center

This large store opened recently at a former roller skating rink on Milwaukee Avenue a minute North of Golf Road. Large selection of clothing, furniture, media, electronics, toys, board games, silverware, plates, cups, glasses, coffee makers, hair styling items, jewelry, vacuum cleaners. Large modern dressing rooms. Donations accepted at South end of building.

If you've been to a Salvation Army before, you kniw what you're in for. The selection and quality of items shifts from week to week. The store is reasonably clean and organized. Prices are good. Workers are friendly enough. It's by no means my favorite place to shop, but I keep going back.

Found some gems here! The store is clean, staff is friendly, and it's pretty organized, however, the clothes could be arranged by size. Finding a specific size in jeans was impossible. I would give it a full 5 stars if the prices weren't so high, as well. Bottom line: worth a shot.

Nicest and biggest Salvation Army store in the Chicago area. Employees organized and friendly. Store is very clean and layout is fantastic. Found many great clothing pieces at 80-90% off retail some in brand new condition with tags. Great selection of glassware, home items, furniture, luggage and electronics. Bottom line shopping here actually helps folks so go now!
